Title: Sara M. Johnson, LMT
Training: I graduated from Universal College of Healing Arts in Omaha, Nebraska in May of 2012 with a 4.0 GPA. There, I learned how to use a combination of techniques including Swedish, Myofascial Release (MFR), Aromatherapy, Child and Infant massage, Sports Massage, and Comfort Touch (I use in hospice.) I use a combination of these as well as Table Thai, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, plus stretching to suit each individual's needs.
Practice Philosophy: Massage encourages natural healing of the body both physiologically and energetically. Our bodies were created with amazing healing properties and my role is to encourage that healing by releasing tension, increasing circulation, working out muscle adhesions, reducing scar tissue, and balancing the body.
Why I Do What I Do: My family takes a natural approach to our health and massage fits well into that approach. As a mother, I have experienced first hand the natural instinct of using touch to heal, calm, and soothe, from rubbing aching legs at bedtime to rubbing upset tummies.
A Little About Me: My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents taught me how to work hard, be respectful, and show kindness to all. I love to bake and cook about everything and have a lot of fun seeing what I can get my kids to cook and eat, from kefir and flax seed to Brussels sprouts and raw veggies. Eat well, live well, and be well!
